Cheers! Tonight is ‘wine night’!
Yes we know it’s only Wednesday but everyone needs a little mid-week pep me up right?
It’s going to sound like we have addiction issues however I say this so I’ll just put it out there… we love our food, particularly good food and their is only one way to properly pay respect to good food by pairing it with good wine. Are we food and wine (addicts) snobs?! (yes) Yes we are. It is far too easy to finish a bottle between the two of us which tends to begin whilst cooking and continue to snuggles on the sofa, by snuggles I mean he watches the TV and I blog, Pinterest or randomly search for exotic holidays. According to Drink Aware half a bottle of 12% white wine will set you back 4.5 units and 300 calories, ouch that’s why I’m not skinny!
Current advice for women is not to exceed 3 units in one sitting or to consume more than 14 units in a week. Seeing as though my man and me could quite happily have 3-4 bottles a week that puts me at an unhealthy 13.5-18 units a week, which now I sit and think about it doesn’t seem great. Hmm I wonder how many people are unknowingly exceeding the limit too? Check yours out and see.
Also I just want to ask you all a question, is it normal for couples to crouch down to the level of the wine glass whilst pouring to ensure that each of you gets exactly the same amount of wine?! Just wondered if we were the only ones who did that.
